Terms and Conditions for The Event Nanny
These terms and conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between the user ("Client," "you," or "your") and The Event Nanny ("Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our"). By booking or using The Event Nanny service provided by us, you acknowledge and accept these Terms in their entirety.
Service Description
The Event Nanny service offered by us provides childcare services within hotels, event spaces or the clients home during special occasions, events and babysitting. Our trained nannies will supervise and care for children during the event, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Booking and Payment
To book The Event Nanny service, you must provide us with the necessary information detailed in your booking forms provided at the time of booking, including the date, time, and location of the event, as well as the number and ages of children requiring care. A 25% Non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and time. You have 14 days from the date of booking confirmation to change your mind. If (within this 14-day period) you have paid your deposit and wish to cancel your booking, this fee will be refunded in full. After the 14-day period, your date and time will be secured in our diary system and no refund will be given for cancellation. Final balances must be paid no later than four weeks before your event (due date will be detailed in your invoice). Balances can be paid at any point in the weeks leading up to your event. Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of the service.
Cancellation and Amendments
If you need to cancel or reschedule The Event Nanny service, you must provide us with written notice as soon as possible. If the client cancels a booking within 30 days of the event, 50% of the full balance will be required. If the client cancels within 14 days of the booking, the full balance will be required. Amendments to the booking, including the date, time, location of the event or number of children and their ages requiring care must be requested in writing with a minimum of 8 weeks notice. All nannies are secured for your booking at this point. Any changes made within the final 8 week period are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Children's Safety
The safety and well-being of the children is our top priority. Our nannies are trained and experienced in childcare, but they are not responsible for any pre-existing health conditions, allergies, or special needs of the children. It is your responsibility to inform us of any such requirements and provide appropriate instructions, including emergency contact information. Parents must provide any necessary food, changing materials, and other necessities required for the children in our care. The Event Nanny will not supply any food, drinks or changing materials.
Code of Conduct
We expect children to behave in a respectful and appropriate manner during the event. Our nannies will provide care and supervision, but they are not responsible for disciplining children. If a child's behaviour poses a risk to themselves, other children, the venue's property or our staff, we reserve the right to terminate the service without refund.
Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality childcare, we cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during the event. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from your use of our service.
Confidentiality
We respect your privacy and the privacy of the children in our care. We will not disclose any personal information provided to us, including surnames, addresses, or contact details, to any third party without your consent, unless required by law. We may take photographs of children participating in activities and having fun. Photographs may be used for marketing purposes and social media.
Optional Meetings
A meeting prior to any event can be arranged as an introduction for the children and to finalise details for the day. Meetings can take place within your own home or event venue. A 1-hour meeting is charged at £35 within the Glasgow area. Meetings outwith the Glasgow area may incur an additional travel fee. The ideal time to schedule a meeting will be 2 to 3 weeks prior to the event. Early booking is advised due to availability.
Breaks and Meals
Your Event Nanny will require a 20-minute break for every 6 hours of work. Times can be arranged on the day that best suits the client or will be taken at an appropriate time that ensures the safety of children at all times. Meals should be provided at the cost to the client for each nanny working 6+ hours.
Additional Hours
If you require additional childcare out with your pre-booked hours or return late, this will be charged at £40(per nanny) per hour and must be paid within 24 hours of your event either by cash or bank transfer.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay, failure, or disruption in providing The Event Nanny service due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of nature, strikes, labour disputes, accidents, or governmental restrictions.
Intellectual Property
All content, including but not limited to logos, trademarks, and copyrighted materials, used in connection with our service are the property of The Event Nanny and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use, copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any such content without our prior written consent.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate The Event Nanny service for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms, misconduct, or unsafe conditions at the event. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
